At Grand and Ivy, we are establishing protocols in line with guidance from the State Board of Cosmetology and the State Health Department to provide a safe salon environment. We are not only working actively to stay up to date with enhanced sanitation procedures and distancing measures, but also preparing to pivot as changes occur in this rapidly evolving situation. At this time, we will be adhering to the following new policies:
Appointments & Cancellations.
● Services will be by appointment only – no walk-ins.
● No guests are allowed to accompany you unless they are also receiving a service.
● If you have recently come into contact with anyone who is sick, please call to reschedule.
● Daily booking is extremely limited, due to the intense sanitation needed between each client
● Pre-booking for your next appointment is encouraged to ensure you get an appointment when you need one.
Prior to Services
● Upon entering the salon, I may take your temperature with a non-contact infrared thermometer. Anyone with a temperature higher than 100 degrees will be asked to reschedule their appointment.
● You will be asked to sign a COVID-19 waiver before start of service. We will be sending it via text in advance to ensure you have fully read and understood everything. You can acknowledge that you agree and understand the waiver by text, and/or sign a physical copy at the time of your appointment.
Face Masks
● Please wear a mask that wraps around the ears so that your stylist can comfortably color/ cut your hair.
● Please wear a mask that fits your face and cover both nose and mouth.
Cleaning and Sanitation
● You will be asked to wash your hands or use sanitizer immediately upon entering the salon.
● All areas will be cleaned and sanitized before and after each appointment.
Physical Distancing
● Lobby will be unavailable as a waiting area. Upon arrival, we ask that all clients wait in their car and text your stylist to check in. .
● In line with physical distancing protocols, please avoid shaking hands or embracing fellow patrons or staff.
